MAINLAND CHINESE MINISTRY IN NORTH AMERICA

Overseas Disciple CampThere are now over 1,000,000 Mainland Chinese in North America. They are very open to the Gospel after the Tiananman Crackdown in 1989 and a lot of them have become Christians, and some of them have been called to serve the Lord full-time. CMI realized the readiness of this harvest field and began this ministry in September 1996.

First, it came our first Mainland Chinese missionary who joined CMI in September 1996. He was a student from China and after been trained and graduated from a seminary, now coordinates and facilitates Mainland Chinese Ministries across USA.

Then in December of 1996, CMI cooperated with 3 other organizations ro sponsor the Overseas Chinese School of Servanthood in Dallas, Texas. During the 2 weeks of conference, over 100 Mainland Chinese Christian leaders from North America were gathered for fellowship and training. Over 2 dozen responded to the calling of God to go into full-time ministry. Of whom two has joined CMI as MC missionaries. The conference next year will be hosted by CMI at Los Angeles.

Discipling the Mainland Chinese students in North America now will have a great impact on China tomorrow. You may participate in this ministry in 2 ways:

1. Support a MC missionary at CMI -- CMI recruits and trains MC students called by God so that they can become effective missionaries among MC students. They need to raise their own financial support by faith which approximately is $1,500/month.

2. Support MC leadership training conference in December, 1997. CMI will host the event at the US Center for World Missions during December 26, 1997 through January 4, 1998. CMI needs to raise $40,000 for 200 participants. You can help one student to participate in the conference by providing one scholarship of $200.

Please contact CMI if you would like to participate and support this ministry.
